Honningsvåg, Norway - Sunday 11 May 2008 - Cape2Cape and Betsy at North cape

Finally we can proclaim that almost two and half year project is over, Cape2Cape reached its destination North Cape on Saturday at 1400 hours and missed the tip just by a few kilometres.

We experienced another breakdown between Honningsvåg and North Cape (rear axel broke), which we fixed with a spare one we brought along. After that was fixed, we were stopped by a snowstorm and just in front of us a big snow remover tipped over and closed the road. There was nothing we could do to bring Betsy to the plateau, but we are satisfied with the fact that we the place we stopped is also called North Cape. We are just talking typography here :-) :-)

Because we (mostly Geir, but also myself) lost our faith in Betsy, we are now considering what to do next. One thing is for sure, we will be in Nordkapp for at least the next three days.
