Oslo, Norway - Monday 21 April 2008 - Enjoying the sun and the light

Spring has already set in in the southern parts of Norway and as the temperature rise, so does the Norwegian people's motion and emotions. After many months of ice, snow and very cold weather, it seams like the entire city has been out parading this weekend. As you understand, this suites me much better than frostbites and five layers of long underpants. I can't help it, but my first weeks in Norway have been painful. Thanks to close friends that have been very helpful providing me with necessary support to cope with the transition, I am slowly defrosting and more importantly, enjoying.

On Sunday my brother gathered some friends and invited us to take part in a spectacular event in the middle of Oslo. My team Rosenborg visited Vålerenga in what was suppose to be an enjoyable game of soccer. Stadium was filled up with 25.000 supporters and the surrounding setting was perfect. Unfortunately the teams didn't fulfill our expectations, nor did the referee who played an important role in ruining the game. I wouldn't mind loosing if the opponent were brilliant, but none of the teams on the field gave me as much as a chill or goose bump and the match ended fairly in a draw 1-1.
