Hasselberg, Germany - Wednesday 26 March 2008 - Betsy, the wintermobile
I
am impressed by the transition, as if Betsy has been longing for this weather
for years! (Not me though...). We are crossing Germany in moderate speed and
today's distance was amazing 520 kilometre and in cape2cape measures, that's a
marathon.
Because Betsy's body temperature decreases at dusk, I decided to stop when we
reached 4 degrees in the cockpit. Almost at the same time as my feet got num the
traffic halted, so it was time to find a camp for the night. The snow resulted
in traffic chaos on the highway and there were some major accident reports on the
radio. We had a good night sleep and the journey continues.
