Girona, Spain - Sunday 24 February 2008 - Sightseeing in Girona and fixing Betsy :-)
This report is written from Girona, Spain. This is a medium sized town and an old historical city not far from the French border. I am not particularly happy to conclude that Betsy is still experiencing difficulties and that after spending 500 Euros at the last clinic. Land Rover Barcelona must be the most sophisticated workshop since we were in Windhoek, Namibia, but did it help?
I hoped that tehy could sort everything out, but did they? I specifically pinpointed a sound that was worrying me, but the ignored it and said it was the slack in the "middle axel". So what should I do, but listen to these fine gentlemen with years of experience with Land Rover repairs? But, after a few kilometers the sound got worse and because it was Friday, the Barcelona señors have left the scene for a weekend of no worries. To get out of the hectic Barcelona, I continued north.
The sound continued to worry me though, it sounded like someone left a casserole in a tumble drier and I was lucky to get to Girona where we are now. Monday morning we will be first in line to request another session with Betsy from Land Rover Girona. This time I am not leaving voluntarily without thorough testing. I still have a good week to prepare for the next visit.
