Fes, Morocco - Monday 4 February 2008 - Visiting a Berber family in the mountains

In Midelt our main goal was to browse around the big Sunday market and just absorb the local trade costumes. We even managed to buy some gem stones for a reasonable price, buying some fruit and woollen blankets for our Goodwill project.

On our way to Fes on Sunday afternoon we pinpointed a rural homestead in the middle of the mountain range at about 1800 meters above sea level. We were invited in for a traditional tea (Moroccan whisky), boiled eggs and homemade bread. We were then taken around to see the stone-houses and the stalls for the goats. A really great experience and as a thank you from us, we gave them Goodwill gifts from one of our Norwegians donors (Irene Snellingen) worth 60 Euro.
