Agadir, Morocco - Friday 25 January 2008 - Sleeping in the streets of Agadir
When we arrived in Agadir on Thursday, we started looking for a place to stay. Due to dense police checkpoints throughout the city we had to be careful (our indicator lights doesn't work). Using half a dozen fuses in the city centre, we managed to find the "campsite", but it was not quite as tranquil as hoped and it was also full. Must have been 300 mobile homes there coming down south from France, Germany, Switzerland and Britain.
I found a street full of life and outside a bank it looked pretty safe, so that was our campsite on Thursday. Earplugs can block out some street noise (if not completely all).
The first tourists i met in this holiday town of Morocco was in fact three Norwegians and they escaped the freezing winter in Norway to inhale some sun and good drinks and food. 5000 Rand for a week including airplane tickets, hotel, all meals and drinks (yes, including whiskies and cognacs as well) was not all that bad...
