Dakar, Senegal - Monday 14 January 2007 - Ups and downs
When you race, what comes after a steep uphill? Well, that's of course a downhill and that is what happened to us on Monday. We are not exactly on a race, but we pretended to be. A short pit stop at Marc in Dakar was planned before going north into Mauritania and Morocco but Betsy refused to start on Monday morning. Is it true that the number of days in the hospital equals the number of disasters?
We needed to call for help and it is definitely not the start battery this time as we bought a new one just a few days ago. We will see what they discover and cross fingers...
By the way, Rune Ovlien is back in Oslo and probably busy solving new and different problems than what he encountered here in Africa. Next co-pilot plan to meet us in Morocco if Betsy is willing.
