Saly, Senegal - Tuesday 25 December 2007 - From all of us to all of you...

A Very Merry Christmas... This time of year we Christians are sort of going nuts about anything but the real idea of Christ being born, so all of you with a different faith, please forgive us during this time of "celebration". We promise to go soft on that subject on the web.

The good news for cape2cape is that we "made it" and 30 minutes after midnight the team was completed by our own Santa, Eli Storset. As any good Santa-Claus she came airborne from Oslo arriving in Banjul, Gambia. From there she had to take a bus/coach all the way up to Saly and Senegal a journey that took her almost nine hours of travel. We are staying at Le Mbaïla in Saly aprox 100 km south of Dakar and will be here until Wednesday or Thursday just spoiling ourselves.
