Bordercrossing Sierra Leone

At the border, Sierra Leone - Thursday 6 December 2007 - Believe it or not... we are rolling

Our editorial break must have been what triggered Betsy to wake up (or the mechanics to do so...). No matter what happened, we are again on the road towards new destinations and first and foremost, Rune Ovlien in Dakar. Its an indescribable feeling to be on the road again. Although we are facing 100 km of terrible roads after crossing the border, the shaking and jumping on gravel road is much better than be stuck in a filthy garage in Monrovia.

The gearbox seams to work fine and although no written warranty, it is promised to go all the way back home. We are cruising our way into Sierra Leone as this is written and by nightfall we might be in Freetown. Next goal is to be in Dakar by 13th December and let Betsy go with the flow. More soon...
