Monrovia, Liberia - Wednesday 5 December 2007 - Editorial Break
Cape2Cape will now endure on an editorial break until further notice. The situation in Monrovia has gotten into a game of guessing and not understanding so why bother to give you daily update on that.
It seams like I am writing "...The gearbox has to be taken out..." or "...The gearbox is back in and we are ready to test...". Friends and family back in "the old country" are eager to come down to teach them how, show them things, beat them up and curse... I don't know, surely the lack of knowledge on my special car is definitely what is making this task difficult, but yelling and cursing has never been scientifically proved to be a motivator or help to speed things up, especially in Africa.
I feel so bad for Rune that has to wait endlessly on a beach chair sipping boringly on an umbrella covered cocktail at the beach in Dakar. Btw I heard they are hosting the West African beauty pageant around this time........how boring is that! Maybe I should ask them politely to hurry up?
LATEST GUESS: Clutch problem caused by a wobbly fly-wheel.
