Beach day in Monrovia

Monrovia, Liberia - Monday 19 November 2007 - No movement what so ever...

This is like an old traditional sequel, the first one was best. What I mean by that are all the reports I have presented since I arrived in Liberia has been dull reading and I am struggling to come up with something interesting. It has taken longer and given me more trouble than anticipated two weeks ago. Yes, that's true, TWO WEEKS. I recall what I wrote the day Betsy broke down close to Kakata; "No matter how this sounds, I feel confident that this breakdown is in good hands and that I haven't felt so good during a breakdown ever... hehe and ho ho ho... Well, there is nothing new to report when it comes to Betsy's condition. Still trouble getting a heart beat and the same confident message as every day from the mechanics "It will be sorted out in a couple of days...".

On Sunday I left Betsy alone and went to the beach with friends and despite the horribly expensive food and a good amount of rain, it was a lovely day (see picture). Slideshow from Monrovia here
