Monrovia, Liberia - Friday 16 November 2007 - "This is now your new home..."
We have changed venue and this time around we are actually at a proper workshop for a change. Hopefully this will be a short stay, but the managers comment scared me a bit. He said "Welcome to your new home". It would have been more comforting if he said; "This is where you will be tonight"
As we towed Betsy over to this new site, we tried to jump start Betsy and discovered amazingly that the new gearbox didn't want to play the tunes with us. No gears wanted to engage which brings the hope of escaping the ward slightly more distant for us. We might need to change into another gearbox (that preferably will work) but first of all get her to start. First thing first... Money wise we (equivalent to Rune Ovlien) just discovered that there are Western Union offices in Norway which again means that the eco-part of the problems will be solved.
Other than that; its hot, humid and an exciting time for us... Knowing that friends are as troubled as my self is a comfy feeling. Knowing that friends are on a virtual travel with me, means a lot and also makes it worth while...
