Monrovia, Liberia - Sunday 11 November 2007 - Unexplored Monrovia
When writing this (Saturday night 8.11PM) my mechanical team went home to their families, leaving me here with Betsy and her open wound. The gearbox is not fully in place and the team will be back on Sunday morning. A planned test-trip will take place during the day and maybe takeoff on Tuesday morning towards Sierra Leone.
This was suppose to be a review of Monrovia, but I have not been able to explore too much about the city yet because of my girls condition. Its important for me to stay put until the guys have finished their task with the transplant. I am a bit worried though, because they needed to adapt the parts that I bought to be able to fit it into Betsy. Sorry abut that, I should rather propound my worries until the situation force them into action... Which must be a rule on a journey like this, am I right or am....
I just wanted to tell you abut the progress and that I have not fondled around too much taking too many photos. This city is strange, it looks cool (except for the roads of course and the lack of electricity of course...) but everybody I meet, tell me to close this, hide that, shut up, be careful, stay calm etc........ These people worry me more than the people they warn me about (actually)...
