Dag Hjulstad and Bernt Nordkvelde outside the UN Headquarter in Monrovia

I must say its good to have very good friends with exceptional connections back in the mother country. Because of me spoiling my woman with gifts and beauty saloons it has been necessary to try to find ways of getting money. Liberia is not yet there when it comes to ATMs, VISA and smooth money transfers, but I am sure they will be there pretty soon. Which was not going to help me much! Gunnar Hanssen (my planned co-pilot here in Liberia) sorted out the problem asking one of his colleagues/friends still working in the region who lend me some money and came to my rescue.

Thank you very much Dag for being so flexible and, honestly speaking, trusting Gunnar that much. I am now able to continue my travel with assurances that money will not be an issue (Insh Allah...). Updates about the gearbox: Four mechanics came early Friday morning, but didn't quite finish the job. Expecting them again on Saturday morning. The above picture; Dag Hjulstad and Bernt Nordkvelde.
