The route

As the departure day hopefully is closing in, there is some route choices to consider.

As for all the previous roads travelled, this is also an unknown route for us. Although I have tried to do some research on sources available, I need feedback if anyone reading this has been in the area. I know Stein Jensen has been in the southern part a few years back and all the tips he has given has been well received, we need more sources for Guinea.

The fastest route and even more important, the best roads to get to Dakar would be valuable information right now.

I got words from the team working on the Isuzu gearbox, and they will be here tomorrow as planned. Mounting and test-driving during the day and probably take off on Saturday. Click on the map to zoom in.
