We could not wait anymore, so we are going to gamble. These guys (on the picture) are going to their best to repair the gearbox so it can get as far as Monrovia. I have my doubts, but we are desperate to get across the border right now.

As an assurance, the mechanic will not be fully payed until I am at the border, so he will travel with me. Safe across the border, I will pay some millitary personnel to escort me up to Sanniquellie and from there its mostly downhill (as Mr Stein Jensen describes it ;-)))
