Wa, Ghana - Tuesday 4 September 2007 - A wrong turn

Due to a couple of wrong turns, we ended up in a small village on the border to Mole national park. Pure luck for some and great fun for us.

We met a young dedicated German teacher in the middle of, what we would describe as; Nowhere! Stephanie is staying in the region for 10 weeks to help the local community to learn English. Its a great pleasure to meet voluntary workers that does this out of no interest for money at all.

We noticed that many of the children had problems with ringworm and other skin illnesses, so we took ten of the them with us to the clinic. The above picture shows Stephanie on the way to the clinic with some of the children. Stephanie will administer the follow up with the kids and the treatment they are getting. The medical help for the schoolchildren was sponsored through our GoodWill project and the donors were Gerd Stoen, Kjellaug and Ola Fjelnset. Thanks for participating.
