On the border, Burkina Faso - Wednesday 29 August 2007 - Couldn't find the water wells

After searching two days for the water well projects sponsored by the local community in my village in Norway (Kyrksæterøra), we had to give up. Before we were able to halt, we came to the customs office at the border and had to proceed because my carnet was missing. Carnet, drivers license and other documents are no where to be found and I have to figure out how to get a new carnet from South Africa. I might depend on Pafrey and Melidah to help sort things out.

We managed though to drop some goodwill at a few local villages and left a good amount of clothes (see picture above). The plan is to camp at Hotel OK Inn in Ouagadougou in Burkina on Wednesday and surf the waves in the hotels pool. Actually we look forward to take a decent shower.

A new gearbox has to be purchased in Accra or Ouagadougou in order to finish this project.
