Bamako, Mali - Thursday 23 August 2007 - Rendezvous with Fellow travellers from Germany/Japan

On Wednesday we met up with Christoph and Chiho at Land Rover (where Betsy is hospitalized). Its always nice to meet up with fellow travellers, too bad we both had too little time to gossip more about our routes and travel. By the way, they probably saved my mothers life as she was seriously dehydrating, thanks a lot for the water... If we are lucky we will meet up again when we are in Djenne. As for cape2cape, we are expected to rejoin with Betsy on Thursday afternoon, and we hope to be on the road on Friday morning. We have used the days in Bamako to repair the tent, fill up the gas bottles, applied for two visas and done some improvement of Betsys interior.
