Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso - Thursday 9 August 2007 - Girls wanna have fun
Women in Burkina Faso has discovered the necessity of speed and as one of the few countries we have visited, you see femme fatal running the bikes as brave as any Cameroonian taxi-biker running on his death wish. The first country was Chad and this is the second, and it is an enjoyable sight. Not only because they are exceptionally beautiful, but because the are taking the hegemony from the guys.
And women are special in other corners of the World as well. In Norway it is reported that a bunch of middle aged girls celebrated a birthday and wanted the gifts to be donated to cape2cape Goodwill... We embrace the bravery in that as well, because we know how much perfume, jewellery, facelifts and transplants means to an ordinary westernised housewife. Thank God I was wrong about that and wish I never mentioned my thoughts, but its printed and it is an editorial mistake to remove it.
We knew that African women is a crucial player in getting the continent moving, now that they are moving on wheels, things will speed up. The first president of an African State is already a fact and I believe its a step forward. So keep on forward and upwards girls, the continent needs you.
