No matter how much money you put on the table, Sunday is sacred, Sunday is a day for prayer and rest. I understand very well, although I would have liked to get Betsy back on track and towards Niger and Mali. The gearbox is back where it belong, if all the parts followed the box, well that I dont know.

The first test showed some difficulties getting it into gear, but with some adjustment that might be good as new. If the welded part are strong enough to bring us all the to Bamako (four days of driving), that has to be seen. After starting up the engine late Saturday, we encountered a oil leak. We need to find a oil seal on Monday to solved this new challenge. Betsy has not lost a drop of oil in 18 months, so the seals might be worn out after time.
