Limbe, Cameroon - Friday 29 June 2007 - NOW, its time to act !!!

Please have a look at the new itinerary of the final 7 months of this "out of the ordinary" African adventure. It is now that you should determine if you really want to be part of this journey and be a proud cape2capian... (or maybe the name will change to capeTcape because of a protected name dispute from someone that just now figured out that we have "stolen" their precious name. We have used the name in good intention for over three years now and lets see how long it takes before the "name-police" will come knocking on my canvas door.

Enough about that... I am writing this blog to invite you to join in as a co-pilot and if you have been thinking, not acting, its time to push the keyboard to the side and be serious. Show me that you are curious about Africa, show me that you are motivated to run into the unexpected, the unseen and undiscovered. You might think it is not possible, but cape2cape has crossed paths where no other tourist have been in decades (Sudan, Somalia to name but a few). We sleep together (understand that one right) with local people in rural villages, towns and cities, we visit schools and homes. We even have time to do some Goodwill in between all of that. There are no limits to age as we have had co-pilot ranging from 24 to 69. The fun and excitement is exactly the same.

If you think that your physical condition is way below what would be expected on a trip like this, I can pinpoint my own liver, lungs and heart and promise you that I should have transplanted them all, but doing fine on a trip like this. To be honest, I am not looking forward to the day when my personal physician Mr Reigstad sticks his wooden spoon into my mouth or listens to my heart beat (if any).
