Limbe, Cameroon - Sunday 10 June 2007 - Introduction to Cameroon
If you ask people back home in Norway about this country, they will nod with a certain enthusiasm because of the Cameroonian football wizards. If you ask additional questions, they will probably turn silent. Our first impression (after three days) is very good and so far tourist friendly.
Cameroon is the "gate" to Western Africa and borders to six different countries in central and western Africa. To the north Chad and Nigeria which will be cape2cape's upcoming attractions. Quite different from Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, The Republic of Cameroon is quite populated with its 18 million citizens. Lucky for us, its a bilingual country (French and English) and almost 300 other spoken languages within its borders.
