Libreville, Gabon - Sunday 27 May 2007 - Libreville, a remarkable city
The city is clean, organized, the buildings are out of the ordinary and it has clean beaches and friendly people. Short said, it gave us an impression of wealth and "show off" and we know that the marble and metal that is on display just talk to the few and fortunate.
Being in the "field" or off the beaten track, you experience that this is not far off anywhere else in Africa. For an urbanised European this city has practicly everything. The word remarkable can be used both ways, just make your pick and we are okay with it. The above picture shows Eli getting her toes wet on one of the many clean beaches in the middle of the city.
