Otjiwarongo, Namibia - Friday 13 April 2007 - Friday the thirteenth.......
Wow.... Not that I am superstitious, but you have some sort of a habit of thinking about it anyway. Especially after the last days of misfortune. All the fun with the diesel pump (actually two, because I purchased a new one for my spare diesel tank as well) came to the amusing amount of 11.000 Namibian Dollars, which equals to the same in South African Rand and Norwegian Kroner.
I got an email from Marc and Christine (St. Georges yelllow Land Rover), whom I met in Ethiopia 100 years ago (it seams), he also had to replace his pump, so we are definitely in the same club. I hope to meet them now, here in Namibia, if God is willing.
I am now on my way to visit two children that I interviewed last year. I have to shoot new photos of them, because my backup system failed and I lost ten days of pictures from Namibia. Which irritates me immensely because I had some excellent shots from the Himba tribes last year. Shit happens. On the above picture you see Saara, a friend that I accidentally, but fortunately met in Windhoek.
