Yei, Sudan - Tuesday 20 February 2007 - Another break down for Lady Betsy

There has been times when we have thought about lying about Betsys conditions, but so far we have been honest and straightforward regarding her health. Due to strong family ties and affectionate love towards my hard working lady, I should have kept quiet about the last incident, but here it goes.

Betsy got another breakdown, same illness that struck her in Mozambique eight months ago. One of the fanbelt tentioners (pulley) fell into 1000 pieces and made the engine suffering a serious heat stroke. With no extra bearring, we had to plea Norwegian Peoples Aid again. This time in a different city and different people. John Sorbo from Norway has been extremely helpful trying to get parts from Kenya flewn into Yei. I am sure he will succeed, but this means another break in the already tight schedule to reach West Africa.

One thing is for sure, the places we are fortunate to strand in, are giving us help and support beyond what we actually deserve. This time NPA Mine Action Yei, Sudan.
