Asmara, Eritrea - Saturday 30 December 2006 - Thanks to all my visitors

Its overwhelming how many visitors that have taken "a click" into the cape2cape pages during the last months. On Christmas eve alone, there were 512 visitors, 380 unique ones and that is the best gift a private web developer can get for Christmas. Thanks a lot all of you. The trip will continue in 2007.

I have not been able to given feedback or replies to all of you that have sent me greetings and well wishes by e-mail or in the guestbook. Making a thank you note in this way is both impersonal and not very nice, but due to unfortunate incidents with my computers, I can always blame my impolite actions to a recent virus attack and heart attack, but its not totally the truth. My e-mail archives are lost though and lots of e-mails that were on a "to do list", are now inaccessible. A local IT company (EWAN) cleverly rescued some of my work, but a lot is lost.

You might ask; is the virus attack the reason for cape2cape now to steal images from the internet (picture above). Well, not totally true, as all my pictures have been backed up properly, the picture above is symbolizing my craving for Norway, the winter, my mother and the rest of my family. Although it is freezing here in Asmara (again not totally true) and my Vegard Ullvang longs are frequently used, its not the same as getting the genuine frostbites back in my mother country Norway.
