Asmara, Eritrea - Thursday 28 December 2006 - While we are waiting II

The title has already been used once, but the last days happenings made it imminent that we recycle it. I am waiting for my Sudanese visa (still) and although progress, we still lack the necessary documents to leave Eritrea. I am also waiting for my computer to be fixed, due to the recent virus attack. A computer company called Ewan is still busy sorting things out and they promised a conclusion on Friday.

Betsy has in the meantime gotten some attention and Tetros (Italian/Eritrean friend) has really been a big help for us. Handbrake is fixed, cabinets are fixed, spare diesel tank is fixed and she is again neat and clean. Ready for the spectacular journey into Sudan, hopefully in just a short time. I don’t have much hope that I will be out of Eritrea before New Year, but InshAllah as soon as possible.

Personal depression is over and we are again looking forward to more fun, more excitement and more stories to share with you. We will be back again in 2007, keep a close lookout on further development on the web. The above picture shows my present hideout in Asmara, the entrance clearly state that we are still in holiday mood.
