Asmara, Eritrea - 24 December 2006 - Yess, we made it this year as well ...

I have been looking through som web newspapers on Christmas Eve and I can truly see that I am not missing out on too much. I South Africa the papers are filled with murders and corruption (what else is new?). In Britain there is of course football and in the Norwegian newspapers you find the seasonal testing of Christmas beer, Christmas aquavit, Christmas schwein and what not. Then there is the occational breakin, robberies and a tradional trippel murder (what else is new?)

There is one story that cought my attention though, and of course it is Danish. It looks like baby Jesus was not born in Betlehem afterall!!! Scientists (yahh right...) are playing with a theory that it could have been further north. That makes my pilgrimage to Betlehem in December 1999 worthless or without a meaning... What now? They might find out that it was not December at all, maybe it happend in April... What a mess ...
