We are not exactly picking the easiest routes, but that has never been the intention either. The costums officer ajusted his stamp by two clicks, meaning there was two days since the last one stamped in to Eritrea through this border crossing. We are now relaxing in Assab, once a busy and promising petroleum city, when we drove in it was more like a ghost town. The photo shows salty mountains in southern Eritrea.
