Ethiopia, Friday 17 November 2006 - More co-pilots wants to experience the African roads
|
Two days left before Johan Berqvist enters the arena and will be my co-pilot number 10. Which in it self is worth a celebration. He has spent some days in Tanzania and Zanzibar, just to get ready for a tough adventure together with Betsy and my self. He will be joining until Santa takes him back home for a genuine Swedish Christmas holiday. As Johan is a photographer, I hope to snap up a few hints. It is slowly coming in additional requests to join cape2cape, as we are about to leave this part of the continent. A relative, Erlend Vaag has guts enough to inquire for the crossing. Ole Anton Utvær and Gunnar Hanssen will remove their uniforms and join me in West Africa. Ghana is still reserved for Eli Størset who joined me in Malawi and if God is willing, Alexander and Jens are also not excluded from the list of "maybe's" in West Africa. My friend Mkuleko Hikwa, a Zimbabwean hero (though a bit faded) plan to join up to explore Timbuktu. Jomar Fjelnset, our second co-pilot is also planning a reunion in Senegal. Erik Brandt and Heidi Jilg from Oslo have already decided to come in September (Senegal/Gambia??). |
