Ethiopia, Tuesday 14 November 2006 - Impossible to Wild Camp here
|
I met some very nice people in Moyale, two swedish guys and a british couple. They told me that it was almost impossible to bush camp in Ethiopia, except for the first part (where I actually bush camped). I thought that was an exaggeration, but it slowly got into my head as I drove north and passed house after house after house… There was no other way than finding a hotel for the night, and in Dilla there was plenty. If you would like to read about all my campsites, you find a button on the left. And then you meet all these nice people, smiling, greeting, nodding, waving, cheering and when Betsy is slow, they run alongside. You feel like noble aristocrat, but deep inside you know your not!!! :-) :-) :-) The kids scream Yoooo yoooo yooooo! Which I hope means hello. I am not responding the same way before I know what it means. It could mean money, muzungu, pen or sweets, but I think its hello... |
