Kenya, Friday 3. November 2006 - Poor Betsy as my uncle Jomar always says
|
Rear diff got some really good treatment on Wednesday and Thursday. They fixed and changed, greased and serviced two full days. It was spares and parts, shock absorbers, bushes, welding and what not! She is more than ready for another 50.000 kilometre, that is guaranteed by Roving Rovers, or so I hope! All the fun was charged 900 US and although this is a lot of money, I think it is every penny worth. Specially for me, who isn't a handyman, but merely an office rat! Thanks to Belinda, who recommended Roving Rovers when we met in Uganda. This means that Johan can stop holding his breath and look forward to nothing but fun. It wouldn't have been right to put a Swede under my dear English Lady. Friday is Nairobi day and I will have to see how long it will take before I get my Ethiopian, Eritrean, Djibouti and Sudanese visa. Could be a week long process, so I might do some applications in Addis. |
