Street vendor at Equator in Kenya

Kenya, Tuesday 31 October 2006 - Our fourth visit to amazing Kenya

I really get to be acquainted with Kenya by now, this is the fourth time for cape2cape and fifth overall... Its unbelievable that it is now two and a half month since Betsy took her first "steps" on Kenyan soil, where we visited Mr. Hans at Mwazaro Beach Resort. It looks like this is going nowhere. As the television series in South Africa says "Going nowhere slowly", I should be entitled to run that show by now.

This time around, I got to step out on the mark of equator. Einar was driving when we crossed in Uganda and they didn't even stop to walk from the southern into the northern hemisphere. And I was SLEEPING! The above picture shows Stephen Ngatia from Kinamba selling "equator eggs".

Whats happening the next week? Well, quite a few things actually. Betsy has to go to the doctor, she has trouble with her hips (rear diff). A number of bushes has to be changed and she needs a service before heading north into Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, Eritrea and Sudan. A few VISAs needs to be added into my new passport, which hopefully is waiting for me at the Norwegain Embassy in Nairobi.
