The picture should illustrate me thinking about my travel budget

Uganda, Friday 20 October 2006 - One quarter of Cape2Cape over and done!

250 out of 1000 days! Only 1/4 of the trip is covered and we have already covered close to 50.000 kilometres, how is this going to end? If this is going to continue and Betsy is exceeding the planned route the way she has done now, we will definitely have to look for money somewhere... OR cancel the Middle East and Europe part of the journey. Which means 8 months of exploration into the ancient and the western world will have to be postponed. I shouldn't worry too much about that, two years in Africa was my initial dream, so after Egypt I would surely be a happy and satisfied traveller.

I have discovered that I haven't had enough time (or didn't allocate time) to respond to emails and reply to comments in the guestbook. So please be patient with me, I will try to get to it as soon as there is nothing else to attend to (which in Africa means the same as never).

Co-pilots, People on the road, people off the road (locals) and family takes up most of my time, which however is great! Then when I sit myself down by the computer in the evening, there are a few routines that has to be done, pictures to sort out and before you know it, it is midnight!

What makes me proud is all the visits on the website, on the best days (Friday and Sunday) there is close to 300 unique visitors a day. On average around 250 a day! Please keep on visiting, as we proceed north/east/west/south it will be even more exciting, more tales and lots of images from Africa.
