Tanzania, Sunday 16 July 2006 - Lets talk about kids for a change, from Norway and elsewhere

We met these two bike riding boys (and many others) while driving on the main road to Iringa in Tanzania. As the picture shows, this is two highly advanced and homemade bikes.

While talking to these kids, I got an urge writing a short blog about kids and how different their lives are compared to "our" children at home (in Norway and Europe). These bikes are definitely not the most secure way of travelling, but these bikes are "look-alikes" to the ones you can buy for hard cash (which the boys don't possess).

Amazingly many dreams can be fulfilled if you have a bit of skill, imagination and willpower.
