Malawi, Monday 10 July 2006 - Eli Storset on her way home from two fantastic weeks with us
|
At 1400 hours on Monday 10th July, Eli left Betsy and Jarle to start her long journey to Norway. Well, first south, then north. She is travelling by bus from the lake to Lilongwe, where she will go by air to Joburg. On Friday she will be home in Oslo, hopefully with renewed energy to battle and manage the office again. Eli is just great, she is very straightforward. Her will and ability to make new friends when we visited far away places is amazing. She has thirst for expanding her knowledge about cultures and loves to talk to people when we have travelled through rural areas and villages. If it is a witch doctor, guys in a local bar or just hiking in the hills, nothing stops her. I guess we have a lot to learn on how to interact with strangers, how to bring out a smile and how to get them to talk about almost anything. Great travel companion, we wish you a nice trip back home to Oslo. The rest of the team (meaning Betsy and Jarle) will continue to Tanzania on Thursday, as we got an interview on Tuesday/Wednesday. |
