Malawi, Saturday 1 July 2006 - We left the Eagles Nest in Chembe Village (but not willingly).

Our flight around Malawi continues... Saturday and Sunday we will be back in Lilongwe to meet up with a friend that are flying in from Norway. What will happend after that, we just have to wait and see... What we know is, we are flying up northwards.

We have spent four amazing days at Cape MacLear and Chembe village. We camped so close to the shoreline that you (almost) could step out of Betsy and into the water without getting sand between your toes. On Thursday we sailed out to one of the nearby islands (Thumbi) to snorkel and by all means relax! We met up with a nice Englishman (living in Ghana) that are touring the continent to document all the heritage sites in Africa. A very nice companion and photographer that gave us lots of tips on further travelling up Africa. A nice and exciting day on a sunny day on Lake Malawi.

We also met a forthcoming Head Mistress at Chembe Primary School that hocked us up with a bright and clever scholar, so we managed to get another interview for the book project.
