Malawi, Wednesday 28 June 2006 - Another paradise discloses itself at Lake Malawi.

To be honest, I was a bit worried about finding the perfect "therapeutic" spot for my co-pilot, as I understood that she was in need of immediate rest. Not that the beginning of her adventure with cape2cape gave much of that! The plane from Frankfurt was delayed by several hours and after finally getting to Johannesburg International, the connecting flight to Malawi left without her. Not cape2cape's fault by all means. When she finally arrived at Lilongwe she has already undertaken 30 hours travel from her apartment in Norway. We are now relaxing at a beatiful resort 20 meter from the lake and by Eli's first assessment it was the perfect spot to be. In her own words and with a big smile; I could easily live here! We are not far from Monkey Bay, which is a place well talked about and mentioned in many guidebooks, as this is off season we do not have to be bothered by other toursist. We are all alone (well, except a staff of 12 of course. Picture: Sunset at the beach, only 15 meters away from the car. |
