Malawi, Wednesday 21 June 2006 - Back to the smiling faces of UN Staff again, but only a short visit...
|
Well, look at this! I am back in the United Nations offices… It is actually like being back in Joburg as in adjoining offices, you have Nina Sandli working with food distributions and now busy with handover documents as she is leaving Friday 23. June. In another office you find Jeffrey from IT bent over the keyboard busy sorting out intricate computer stuff :-) The only thing missing to make this environment complete are some loud discussing, laughing, eating, WFP drivers annoying me in my important tasks. This is just a temporary visit, I am not abandoning Betsy. Cape2Cape has still over two years to go before this project is finished. I was invited by Nina (a big virtually hug to her) to use one of WFP's computers and it was sooo easy to say yes. Now, I can sort out things on my web that has been postponed for a long time. Refurbishing webpage's takes time, but it is very rewarding thinking about all the people visiting every day (last figures shows that we have an average of 150 unique visitors every day). LATEST LATEST LATEST !!! A small videoclip from Nina's farewell to WFP (PS! 21 Megabyte) |
