Mozambique, Sunday 18 June 2006 - And we a rolling north, next co-pilot is waiting for us in Malawi

The visit in Mozambique was shortened by a few days thanks to Nina Sandli, former colleague from the UN. She has been working for WFP for over a year and NOW she plans to leave. Something tells me it is something muffins (as we say in Norwegian).

Lilongwe will be some sort of a gender relief for me, as I am also meeting Camilla Stabell and Eli Størset (also Norwegian of course). Eli will be my next co-pilot and will join me for a couple of weeks and will turn back to Lilongwe as I continue into Tanzania to meet up with Rune "Falcon" Ovlien.

We managed to find an interview object in Mozambique, although it didn't look good, especially now that I had to leave before we planned to. Eduardo spent the day with us and even though shy in the beginning, he loosened up when wandering about in his neighbourhood together with a heavy loaded photographer. Picture above: Had to trade in Betsy in two donkeys due to cost constrains.
