Mozambique, Thursday 15 June 2006 - Gorongosa National park a shadow of the old fame

Don't worry, we have not (yet) changed the means of transportation. I thought it could be interesting portraying different kind of law enforcement officers in each country. Unfortunately it was not possible in Zimbabwe, so we will just have to take the ones that are willing (or allowed) to pose.

The picture is taken north of Guro village and I had to stop there for a while and take a deep breath. My God daughter in Norway has the same name as the village; Guro. So you understand I got struck by home sickness for a few seconds there!!!

We are progressing north, although there is still a few days before we can say; - "Look, we are now further north than Lusaka, Zambia. Which means we are slowly taking farewell to southern Africa. Next time I will be in the region might be 2010, to watch Zimbabwe taking a major beating from Norway in the Soccer World Cup in South Africa. Sorry Mkuleko, just had to mention that.
