Mozambique, Sunday 11 June 2006 - Farewell to the coastal town of Beira and finally heading north
|
The girls on the picture, Martha and Amelia will surely miss us and we will miss them and Beira all the same. It has been great to spend some days in Beira, just to smell and listen to the music of waves makes you recharge your batteries before getting into the interior of south east Africa. Only six weeks before we can enjoy the coastal scenery again, so its not all to bad. I have to admit, I am a great admirer to the ocean although I did not take a swim and also didn't spend time laying on a towel on the beach. Just being close to the sea is pure therapeutic for me and not to forget the delicious sea food while dining at Bique. We am now looking forward to get out of town, its too busy for me. Being in the countryside and rural areas gives you more reality, if it just had a coastline. There is a route up Mozambique's coast, but the road to Malawi has to be the path right now. I might have a date with two Norwegians up there!! . |
