After the road disaster a few days back, we are now just enjoying life and camping at the beach. The first two days it was so windy that I was worried my roof tent would collapse, but Betsy managed again. To say we have been busy is a bit overrated, we have done very little. Except the service with Betsy which took about five hours, we have been sightseeing the town, taking a few pictures. Those can be viewed in the PhotoStudio pages. After being in both Havana, Cuba and Maputo here in Mozambique, is the downfall of great colonial architecture. In one way, you shouldn't feel all that bad about it, but it is not because of hatred or payback they are not being restored. Its pure poverty, as the people living in the houses either don't need the space or cant afford maintaining was is left of once spectacular architecture On the above picture, Celine in the streets of Beira preparing maize corn to be "banged" into milliemeal.. |
