Mozambique, Tuesday 6 June 2006 - Beira and camping right at the beachfront
|
How easy is it actually to get spoiled? I just learned that spending a week in Bulawayo's most luxurious home and now it is happening again. Well, not to that extent, but in a way that we haven't been used to on our ordinary trip. We are camping so close to the beach we could say that we are on it! 20 meters away, there is a restaurant that produces one delicious dish after another. Monday we tried fish and ships, Tuesday it was grilled shrimps... and what next? The prices are playing with us, otherwise we wouldn't have done this, so its not really extravagancy either. The only downside to this is the weather which cannot be blamed anyone but those high up there! After entering Mozambique it has been cold, windy and Tuesday it was raining again. I hoped to dry up the sunroof so I could smear it with more silicon, but clearly, that has to wait. It is planned to be here three days, Wednesday will be at the Land Rover workshop to do a thorough service and then I will spend some time documenting the architecture of the city, which is really great. |
