Zambia 28 April 2006 - Jomar is learning traditional ways of transport in Zambia

Not one day is passing by without learning something new, seeing something different or experiencing something extraordinary. On the picture above, I would say this falls under the extraordinary, as my uncle is trying out a new concept on how to use his head. I would say he did not pass the test, so he should rather concentrate on mechanical stuff I guess.

On Friday we arrived at Lake Kariba, a big dam that makes the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. As this place was not the ultimate one, we travelled further north hunting for the perfect place. After too many bad roads and terrible terrain we continued about 20 kilometers more and landed at a place called Shipopo by the Kariba waterfront. And pretty close to perfect.

We planned to stay there for two days, but as usual, planning is not the same as the route choosen, so we will see what happens. All we know is that we have to be back in Livingstone before Sunday 7 May, there we will receive another passenger.
