Namibia 10 April 2006 - Etosha, not exactly what we have expected

We entered Etosha 9th of April and very excited about what we were about to experience. It took us a little under 24 hours to conclude that this was not worth the 400 Namibian Dollars that we had to pay for camping and park entrance fee. We saw one of the big five and only one brave little predator called Jackal. Its not that we are spoiled, on the contrary, we are humble, pale and from Norway, so that should immediately give us away.

We drove about 200 kilometres in the National park and to be honest, we got a bit bored. If it weren't for that jackal and the herd (is that right) of giraffes and last but not least, the angry elephant, we might have called it a failure.

After leaving the park, we drove some 20 kilometres south and stopped at an old farm where I camped two weeks earlier, namely at Jeremiah's farm. I wanted my co-pilot to see this old farm cluster and I do not regret a minute. It was a great experience for both of us.
