Namibia 31 March 2006 - Last day of March and the team survived the first two months

What is there to say so far? It has been a great journey and I have met so many interesting, forthcoming, heart-warming and beautiful people that I am amazed. The best thing so far is the very idea of writing a book, because that gives me insight view and information about the people living in the country that I am visiting.

My mother wrote that I surely get to meet a lot of interesting people, and that's true. Although the encounters are short, it gives you an opportunity to inform, share and give in a way that I never would have achieved if I didn't work the book project. There is one tiny challenge though! I tend to give to much, which means that my budget is suffering tremendously already.

And how can you possibly act different when you see how little they survive on, how poorly dressed they are and that they appreciate two slices of bread and a soft drink in such a way that you might as well have given the a whole bakery and a truck full of coke.

Knowing that my own fridge is packed and also knowing that you cannot help every single one that you meet, THAT is a challenge. The above picture; My camp guard in the Namib desert.
