These are the campsites from Kenya. The camps are divided into
four sections, as we had
four visits here driving back and fourth from Tanzania. The
last entrance was from Uganda, then entering Ethiopia.

Found a nice place about 500 meters
away from the main corrugated gravel road. And on this
way there is not much traffic. Hidden behind some acacia
trees.

As I thought that my visa was
expiring already the 11th, I wanted to drive pass Isiolo
and continue as far as I could. After checking, I have
one day more. Thats why the bush camp, lonely and quiet.
Took off the main road up to a Samburu cultural village,
which was 22 kilometer further into the bush, which
suited me fine.

Its a tradition to take a shot
or a drink after arriving to a new camp. A Tusker was
todays choice. |

Karen Camp, strictly for members!!
Well, I am no members of any kind, but here I am. Nice
parkinglot, nice bar and nice people. I am parked on
grass, access to a power point, hot shower and only five
minutes drive to an internet cafe, what else do I need?

and rooms for rent. I was recommended this by a TRUCK
driver, which name is again vanished from my head. Will
get back to that. |

I was supposed to camp at Karen, but I came too late
into the city, so I figured it was better to follow my
stored gps coordinates and look for Karen the next day.

I came to relax and it started so
well. Ordered Four Season pizza, nice cold beer and did
some office work. Went late to bed and then the dogs
started barking!!! |

This was a nice relief and what a
surprise. Clean toilets, hot shower, bar/restaurant,
electricity and aroma massage. Both of us had a treat at
Kembo Campsite and Roving Rovers. Well done! A film crew
were shooting a music video right behind Betsy (picture)

Got visit from peeing dogs again, but
I used my piri piri box as I was recommended somewhere
by someone! A campsite and a Land Rover repair site, all
in one! |

A nice "lawn like" campingsite in the
middle of the bush. I planned to get all the way to
Nakuru on Monday, but the roads were terrible so it was
not possible to make it. Only 100 meters away from the
mainroad and not a single soul to see (or hear).

I could see some tracks on the grass,
so I guess it has been visited by someone prior to my
visit. It could also have been people working in the
forest. |
